Compatibility questions 4790 with BIOS 2202 27.10.2014

I'm thinking of buying a i7 4790 (non K) for my H81M-C motherboard.. My current bios version is BIOS 2202 27.10.2014..

So, my worries are.. will the CPU run without any further issues? Do I need a bios update?

No, you don't need to update the BIOS (the I7 4790 is supported since version 0705).

Great to hear it!!! Just one more thing.. is the pure rock slim good cooler for the i7 4790?

It is a small cooler, but should fit the socket. If space allows, I would choose a cooler with a 120 mm fan.

It will be an improvement over a stock cooler, but a 92 mm fan is going to be average at best. What height of CPU cooler does your case support?
