Hello, everyone, so i got this Kinda old mobo foxxcon H55MXV and i have just wasted about 100 euros testing several ram modules thinking that it would be easy to just go from 4gb (2x2gb) to 8gb(2x4gb) to find out that it's a bit tricky.

So the only compatible ram modules that i have found are AD3U1333C4G9-2 via adata compatibility site. The only problem now is that.. it's really hard to find it on the market, instead i get this code: AD3U1333W4G9-2 i wonder if there is any difference.. ?

The Ram modules i used previously didn't work because of their technology, it has something to do with the chips, i dont understand it clearly but it has to do that the ones i used seemed to be newer technology while my motherboard requires older.

If you guys have any suggestions that will work too.. i am open for hearing it..

Thanks a lot in advance for reading.

If you check the ordering info at http://tw.adata.com/en/dram/orderinfo/49, AD3U1333W4G9 uses high density ICs (512M) and it won't be compatible; AD3U1333C4G9 uses low density ICs (256M) and it's compatible. A compatible 4GB module has 16 ICs (8 on each side). Low-density modules are not easy to find; G.Skill F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT is available, but there are other modules. An option is to find an older set of modules, e.g., G.Skill F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL dated 2011 works fine. Where are you located?
