I have a really old dell with a pentium 4, not sure about any other specs, besides it runs windows xp. Is there a stronger CPU I can upgrade and add a gpu and more ram? I need to know the compatibility before buying of course. I don't want to buy a new computer because I just want this one to run older games like halo 1 and gta san Andres. Thanks if you have experience with older computers like this :)

Although I would literally recommend buying from eBay an used core 2 duo or something even better for like 30Bucks, you still need to tell which P4 you have. It´s off course possible to upgrade those parts, but giving it´s so old and obsolete it´s not really worth. the p4 had at least 4 sockets types, meaning I can´t guess what you...

One thing for sure is that your motherboard only supports AGP Gpus and probably only Ide. I need more infos on your specs.

Edit: A computer like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-Compaq-8100-Elite-CMt-Intel-Core-i5-650-3-33GHz-4GB-RAM-2X-HD-250-200GB-/172353279143?hash=item28210e54a7:g:BwsAAOSwTA9X5t0f would outperform and a lot an Old p4 although it´s not a good idea. Save some money and buy/assemble a newer machine

Edit II: You need aswell to tell us where you from, and how much $$$ you can put on the table
