I have 16GB of RAM and my sytem is capable of beig upgraded yto 32GB. the 16 GB is composed of 2 Kingston

KHX1600C10D3/8GX sticks which are 8 GB each. I have 2 slots left and can't seem to find an exact match anywhere but I did find 2 x 8GB sticks on ebay whith this part number HX316C10FRK2/16
located at https://www.ebay.com/itm/1553828802...5pl5dUAV3JXJYGKUZ3bSqKRQMhSS|tkp:BFBMstT86fth

Would this be compatible in addition to what I have now or would I have to buy 2 sets?

Would this be compatible in addition to what I have now

Chances of different RAM sticks working together are 50:50.

or would I have to buy 2 sets?

Chances of two sets working together are also 50:50.

If you want a guarantee of 32GB of RAM working well, at advertised speeds, either buy:
* 2x 16GB set
* 4x 8GB set

And only use that one set within the PC.

The set I reference is 2 x 8GB for a total of 16 GB. So I guess two packages of the same type and part number would fill the bill to get 32 GB of RAM.

Even though they are used would they work?

Repackaged and pulled from several systems. Latter is also stated in the listing.

Meaning that this is not the actual 4x 8GB set you could buy, but instead mixed set. With this, chances of all 4x sticks working together are slim to none. Sure, each individual stick did work in the system they were pulled from, perhaps even 2 sticks from 1 system. But i wouldn't put any hope on all 4x sticks working at 1600 Mhz (their rated speed). If they do work, you got extremely lucky. <- Prime example of RAM lottery.

Thank you for your help. I guess the only recourse is to buy new. could you suggest the best place to acquire them at a reasonable price?
