Compatible dvd writer for Platinum(R) 4Windows XP

I am using Microsoft Wndows XP Version 2002.Computer is Intel(R)-make compaq-Pentium(R)4CPU 2.00 GHz.
What is the type of dvd writer I can fix to this please?

You will have to check whether your motherboard supports IDE or SATA optical drives. You can either check by looking at the motherboard itself or if you have the model name or number from your computer we can have a look on the manufacturers website.

If it's a 2 GHz P4, it probably uses IDE. Google "ide dvd" OR "SATA dvd", depending.
