Question compatible graphics cards with core 2 duo E7300 and nvidia gtx 1050 Ti

Hi, I'm currently having a rig with an intel core 2 duo E7300 with a sapphire HD5450. I'm interested in bumping up the graphics card to a GTX 1050 Ti with the upgrades to the processor & motherboard coming in as the time kicks in. Would my current rig bottleneck and if so (which I know would), what would be the best graphics card I can get for the time being to run with the core 2 duo processor? Pls help.....many thanks.
