Hi folks, newbie alert. I have a HP XW8400 & HW8200, yes old school. The 8400 has a single Xeon dual processor, 3.66Ghz but another free 771 J socket. Thinking of putting another proc in there but ive only got 1 heatsink. Could i take both the heatsinks from the XW8200 that is running 2 Xeon Hyperthtread processors in 601 sockets? The 8200 processors had a TDP of 130W but the 8400 were only 65W. So i presume that the old XW8200 processors ran a lot hotter then the Xeon processors 2 years later and as such the heatsinks would be fine, maybe even overkill. Would they be compatible? Cheers for any advice.

The hole spacing looks near identical but I'd ask you to tread carefully. The mounts might not be the same and might not even sit flush with your socket.
