Compatible ram for Core i5 6600k & Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Aura?

I am building a new rig and I would really appreciate some advice. I wanted to know whether my chosen ram was compatible. So far, I have:

Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Aura motherboard
Core i5 6600k processor.

I want to add the following ram:
Corsair Dominator Platinum 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) 3000 MHz CL15 XMP 2.0 DDR4 Desktop Memory Kit - cmd16gx4m2b3000c15

However, this particular ram configuration is not listed on the motherboard's QVL (qualified vendors list). Although other Dominator ram configurations are listed, i.e a similar 32GB version. I know that these QVL lists are not always updated very often.

Do you think the ram will be compatible with my system? I'm a noob and would really appreciate the advice. Thanks.

Just look at QVL list and compare RAM values in the list with RAM you intend to use. XMP, Cl, voltages etc.

This kit use four 2GB Samsung ICs also use by G-skill Trident Z, it should work, the different only is factory XMP and (some) proprietary EEPROM preset which they set at certain figure.
