I'm building a new system and can not get the system to pass the bios post test . I believe the parts are compatible, but I can't get the bios to post and continue booting with only the basic attached. The system only has the cpu, ram, motherboard, and power supply connected and will not pass post test. The monitor stays blank. I have two new ram chips, which i've used one at a time, in different slots on the motherboard but still no post. I've tried no ram installed and it does not give the usual error beep code; speakers are connected and turned up. I switched power supplies (new one is 600w for a 500w that works in another system) and still not post. I'm down to this being a bad motherboard or I have something wrong in the parts. I don't plan on having an add on video card and will use the motherboard display ports.

Ram: https://www.neweggbusiness.com/product/product.aspx?item=9b-20-231-892

Is something not compatible with these parts?

Solution
Did you ensure the motherboard BIOS was up to date before purchase?
B450 chipsets typically need a BIOS update to run latest Ryzen.

You need BIOS F40 on that board to take the 3400G

No idea on the current bios version as I can't get into it. It looks like the Ryzen 3 PRO 2200GE runs on the first bios version. Guess i need to buy an older cpu like this one?
