After doing much research , and using memory finder on corsair and Kingston websites looking at compatible Triple Channel DDR3 . I have become confused, First on weather or not to get unbuffered memory. Also some Info I got on my old bloomfield intel i7 920
I have the first genneration (bloomfield) intel i7920@2.67
Intel website says it supports DDR3-800/1066

Confusion begins here : My motherboard EVGA X58 SLI(Bios version 82) supports DDR3 1333/1600 memory up to 24GB.
If I was to get either 1333 or 1600 DDR3 would I be putting to much stress on my old i7920 ?
Because I'm thinking about one of the following two choices
Muskin DDR3 1600
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226186
Corsair DDR3 1333
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145220
Should I be looking for DDR3 1066 ?
Also should I be dispersing the memory more Across Dimm's to take it easy on the memory controller ? 3x2GB vs 3x4GB because I have 6 Dimm slots.
I want to get this right the first time. I dont want to mess around with bios settings if I can avoid it.
Muskin was attractive because it claims best on X-58 mobo and is hand tested.
Also Getting a EVGA Nvidia GTX 780 3GB
Time for a late upgrade and I want to make it worth the next 5 years of high end gaming,
my build is old but with a little love it will thump with the rest of em ..
Thanks in Advance for your help
