I'm fairly new to pc gaming and just recently bought a prebuilt computer with asus m5a78L-m mobo, amd fx 6300 processor, radeon rx 560 gpu, and a generic 500 watt 80+ bronze psu. It was on sale for $450. I think I still have enough time to return it and possibly build my own with some help. Also sorry if this is the wrong location for this thread I'm new to the forums. Can someone help me with a complete build under $600 that outperforms the specs listed above. Preferably intel because it seems from what Ive read intel outperforms AMD

with enough budget, yes, Intel I7-8700k is better. However, for budget build, AMD is more bang for the money. For 600:

Do you think for the original specs that $450 was a decent price? With the m5a78L-m mobo whats a good processor that I could buy to upgrade? I know the 8300 but I was told it would not be much of an improvement. I may wait a couple months and just buy a new cpu and gpu. Any way to do this without upgrading mobo?

I found a computer I can exchange for. Its got a ryzen 5 1400 cpu and radeon rx580. Is this pretty good? will there be upgrade options in the future? I don't know the mobo brand but it would have to be AM4 correct, meaning I could upgrade the cpu in the future
