Complete computer freeze up in only two games.

Long story short, I play lots of games all the time, but I have an issue in League of Legends and used to have an issue in WoW where my monitor freezes, my keyboard power goes out, my mouse power goes out, all there is is a static sound, its not a loop of the sound that was playing, just a medium level chhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. One time I left my computer for like an hour just to see what would happen and the chhhhh had gone away but all the other symptoms were still there.

I've spent the past few weeks playing cs:go for many, many hours a day and I didn't experience this problem a single time. I hadn't played League in months, hopped on tonight and within two games I had this crash. It was less common when I played WoW, but it happened once or twice. In League I can expect it atleast once a day. Generally if it happens I'm safe from it for the rest of the day it seems.

The power button does not work when this happens, and I have to flip the power switch to get my computer to turn off. There's no build up to it, my fan doesn't start going super crazy hot, I've run like heat tests and check while I'm playing and my computer doesn't seem to get overheated whlie playing...I have no idea what the issue is.

I'm 100% sure that it does not happen in other games. It's 100% connected to League/wow.

I find it very odd that its not JUST league though, but that I've only ever had the issue with one other game.

Any ideas why this could be or how to fix it?

If you haven't already, clean out the inside of your case. Blow out the cpu heatsink graphics card heatsink and power supply internals. Reseat the graphics card and RAM to make sure they are firmly seated. Just the basics but it's a place to start. Really it sounds like a problem with the card or the Power supply. What are your system specs for all hardware and have you been monitoring temps? Maybe new drivers are needed. What kind of GPU do you have?

Those games may make calls that other games don't or have specific instruction language not used in the rest of your game inventory. Or they might just be more demanding on resources which is creating a hardware or resource issue.

Same problem with Wow. Stopped paying for my account. Freeze up every 1-20 minutes. My son came for visit. HIS account on MY computer has worked 4 hours, no lockups. Checked my account again....locked up in approx 10 minutes. I am contuining to play his account for approx ten hours. At that point, I'm sending Blizzard email informing them of this problem and asking them to fix my account. btw, ran the repair function, then ripped out WoW - re-install....same problem. I hope this helps
