Hey there, good people!

My current PC specs are:

CPU: Intel i7 6700k @ 4.00 GHz (no overclock)
Graphics: Zotac GTX 970 (no overclock)
RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 ( 2 x 8GB, dual channel, XMP 2400 MHz)
Motherboard: Asus E3 Pro Gaming V5
PSU: Corsair CS 750M
Cooler: Corsair H100i GTX
Monitor: AOC E2180SW

PC assembled in 2016.

I wish to play the latest and the next gen games on ultra (I'm a sucker for gorgeous graphics) for the next 3-4 years . What would you guys suggest?

P.S. I really appreciate all your help!

New graphics card - the best you can afford.

Agreed. It's hard to say how the next few years will pan out in regards to physical core utilization in games, given that the new console gen are 8 cores, but regardless of anything else, you need a new gpu today and that gpu can still be used with any other system upgrades you may find necessary over the next few years.

Having said all that. I would never recommend wasting your money supporting scalpers so you should give it a couple (few?) more months for gpu stock to stabilize. Unless you get lucky and catch one at msrp. Just don't buy any rtx 3080 pictures on ebay. :)
