Complete Reinstallation Question

I had a MOBO fail and had to send the system back in for waranttee replacement. They also reformatted and reinstalled its Windows 10.

Before I sent it in, I removed all the internal drives (hot swapables) except the small SSD which holds the O.S. only.

I'm now trying to figure out in my head before it gets here where to start putting it back together. All my programs exist on the D drive. But will the new O.S. even recognize them? There will be nothing in the start menu other than what installs with Windows 10. They're not going to show up in Add/Remove I assume. What will I have to do? Where to start?

Those applications that live on the D drive will be completely unknown to a new OS that might be installed.

Now...if this is an exact 1 for 1 replacement motherboard, just plug the OS drive in, and see if it boots up.
It should.

They reinstalled it, I left the C drive for them. Okay, what i needed to know. Thank you so much!
