My PC has been freezing frequently when playing higher end games like Dragon Age: Inquisition, or when using a DAW such as FL Studio. Demanding programs in general cause problems. When frozen, the screen stays on and shows the last thing I was doing. The sound also cuts out. The freezing is an absolute lockup where the only way to fix it is to physically push the restart button. My specs are listed below:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3
BIOS(?):Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-8350 8-core (8 CPUs), 4.0 GHz about 6C for each core right now
Memory: 8 gb RAM
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series (about 4 gb total memory) @ 33C right now while idling, and fan(s?) are at 1089 rpm and 20.0% (possible 2 fans?)
*Power Supply: 500W (I'm going to assume that this is the issue)
Hard Disk: 2 Terrabytes @ 27C at the moment
DAC Type: Internal DAC(400MHz)
Monitor: HP Pavilion 23bw IPS Backlit Monitor
2 blu-ray disc drives
*I also have speakers/sub, astro a40 headphones and microphone, a keyboard, a mouse, and an xbox 360 controller plugged into the usb ports.
If you can help it would be much appreciated, My guess is that it is a power supply issue, or maybe a temperature one, but what do I know, that's why I'm asking. Thanks guys and gals
