Hey folks,

So I'm finally in a position to upgrade my system and I was wondering if you could give me your opinions on this build (https://www.punchtechnology.co.uk/p...YomdJj7tyoSiowkeFSuWgrAvpxUbvCOMxgC1ZvUc2uI8s). Not sure if you can post links so I'll write the spec below too.
  • Contour Helios ATX Glass Cube Gaming C…
  • Intel Core i7-9700 3.0GHz 8 Core CPU, 8 Thread 4.7GHz Turbo
  • Gigabyte Z390 UD ATX Motherboard
  • NVidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB GPU
  • 16GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 3000MHz (2x8GB)
  • 500GB WD Blue SN550 NVME M.2 SSD (2400MB/R, 1750MB/W)
  • 2TB Seagate BarraCuda 3.5″ Hard Drive
  • Be Quiet Pure Rock Slim CPU Cooler
  • Contour 650W High-Efficiency ATX PSU
  • 300mbps 802.11n 2.4GHz Single Band PCIe Wi-Fi 4 Adapter
  • Integrated Sound Card On The Motherboard
  • Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64 Bit
Ideally, I'd use this build to play games like the new Total War games, Doom Eternal, Red Dead 2 etc. on high spec. Alternate builds or recommendations are, of course, very welcome. I'm capable of building my own system too so component lists are acceptable. My budget would be around £1,100.

Thanks in advance and happy new year!

That PSU doesn't show up in any Google Image search and that branding gives me a weird feeling(of the bad kind) in my tummy. Are you open to building your own system using parts sourced off of PCPartPicker?

Do note, that the budget I took as a reference was from the link you provided, not the one you'd mentioned above since that isn't an apple's to apple's comparison.

What's your monitor resolution?

Thanks for the advice and the parts! Ideally though it'd be a little cheaper and I most likely won't need water-cooling as I don't plan to overclock it and I'd swap out the case for something a little flashier 😛

So maybe something like this instead? - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/YgKxVc

Awesome list though, thanks muchly!

Hey folks. I've got a budget of around £1,200 and I'm in need of a new rig but it's been so long and I'm incredibly out of touch!

I play stuff like StarCraft 2, Total War, Doom Eternal, Red Dead 2 etc. and I'd like to run them on a decently high spec.

I'd ideally like to get all of the components from one place too, as useful as PCPartPicker is, I've used PCSpecialist in the past to great effect. I'm alright building my own rig with the components so that's not an issue.

I've got two monitors, 1920x1080 and I'm not bothered about running at 4k resolutions etc, but I will be getting a VR set at some point too.

Any help is greatly appreciated! 😀
