I'm upgrading from a R9 280 to a GTX 1060 and I need to know how to uninstall my old AMD drivers. I've posted here before asking the same question and everyone said to do it with "DDU." I looked into it and saw some people had major issues using it, so being the paranoid person I am I would rather avoid using it. Would I be able to uninstall EVERYTHING manually?

Solution
Amd graphics software now comes with a install, and uninstall suite.

Simply select the programs and features options in windows to bring up the list of installed software and apps on your system.

Click on the Amd install manager.
It has two options to uninstall the current driver set installed on your system.
Or by default to uninstall all Ati drivers related to the graphics card.

Oh that simple? Haha. Will this give me the same results of DDU?

1. Uninstall from Windows Control Panel / Programs

2. Optional ( I do it as a matter of course but not necessary 95% of the time. Use a registry cleaner like Ccleaner to clean registry of all thinks AMD GFX related....and ONLY AMD GFX related.

3. The GFX driver removal utilities suffer from having to keep up with latest drivers. If diver newer than utility version, then it might not get everything.

Will that cause issues in the future?
