Component AV to HDMI Converter not working on LG SJ850V

I bought a converter box to hook my PS2 and Original Xbox up to my 4K tv as it doesnt have any analogue inputs (4 hdmi's, 3 usb's and some optical audio connections) however that box doesnt work on this tv, it has power, and outputs sound, but no picture, unless you unplug one of the display cables or the power cable and plug it back in, then you get a ghosted and flickered image of the output on the screen for about a second and it goes black again, i have tried several different HDMI cables, some 2.0b, some 1.4 and i still get the same result, the converter box and component cables are all working fine because i tested it all on my old tv.

i try to sort tech issues out myself but i am stumped on this one
any help would be greatly appreciated

Check if component in and hdmi out.

Hi, yes, i made sure to buy component in to hdmi out, and also, the ps2 and xbox are both running in component mode, as i said, i tried this setup on an older hdtv and it worked fine, really want to get it working on this new tv though

Did you ever get it fixed? I've got the exact same issue with the same TV
