Hi Guys,
I'm a first time poster long time follower of the forum and Tom's Hardware. I currently reside in Australia and looking to build my own computer for AutoCad as well as a bit of gaming and photo editing. So really an all-rounder! My question is if I'm buying stuff from America like the SSd and the HDD will they have to be compatible with Australian voltage output or just with the PSU which is connected to the MoBo? I am buying the power supply from Australia to save any adapter hassles.

My set up is:

CPU: i7-4790k
MoBo: Asus z97-A USB3.1
Memory: g.Skill Sniper series (2x8gb)
Storage: Samsung EVO 850 500gb & WD BLACK 4TB
PSU: EVGA 750w G2 80+ Gold
Case: NZXT H440
GPU: Open to suggestions

Would love to hear what you guys have to say!

Kind regards,

Jack

It does not matter at all where you source your components from as they will all operate off the PSU.
The only voltage you need to worry about is that which you plug into your PSU and since you are sourcing one locally you'll have no trouble at all.
I don't quite get the question but i dont think this config is going to have issues more likely none but you might wanna wait for someone experienced to reply. As for the gpu it depends how heavy the software is i would recommend try the firepro or the quadro but if you play quite a bit of games the geforce or the r series

But i would definitely recommend amd right now for games as they are having a noticeable benefit from directx 12 as of now i do not know about the future
