Component Compatibility for Computer Build

I want to modify the configuration below by replacing the I5-4430 with the Intel Core I5-4690. Is this CPU compatible with the remaining components outlined below? Thanks.

I’m planning to build a computer. Although I recently asked a compatibility question, I changed some of the components of my planned build. I think the components shown below are compatible, and that if I order these components and build the computer correctly, it should work. But I want to be sure.

Are these components compatible? And if I purchase a retail version of the CPU indicated below, will I receive a fan, heat sink, and thermal paste? Do I need a cooler?

1. Asus H87M-Plus/CSM
2. Intel Core I5-4430 CPU
3. Antec Sonata lll 500 enclosure
4. Kingston Tech Hyper 8 GB 1600 MHZ DDR3 Dual Channel Kit-240 Pin SDRAM (KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX)
5. Lite-On LightScribe 24X SATA DVD+/-RW Dual Layer Drive IHAS424-98 - Retail (Black)
6. Legacy Kingston VGA monitor (maybe eight years old). Of course the monitor requires a VGA port
7. PS2 keyboard
8. PS2 mouse

Thanks,
Charles

Ima just fully answer that question. Retail means only CPU and stock cooler. No Thermal paste.

I was trying to say that I'm assuming that the motherboard has a VGA port. Pictures indicate that the board has a VGA port, but if anyone had any doubts about the board's VGA port, I wanted to hear them.

OK. That's what I will plan to do.

Do I get enough in the retail CPU box to keep the CPU cool, or do I need to purchase something more?

It comes pre-pasted, means that they already put the thermal paste onto the cooler when they put it in the box. You don't need to worry about buying new thermal paste for like a year or two until you want to re-paste it.

You don't need to buy anymore paste for now.

So I can assume that the paste on the cooler and the cooler in the retail box will sufficiently cool the system I plan to build, right?

Thanks

Thanks

If I wanted to add a video card to this system, is there a vga video card that would work in this system that would allow me to use my legacy monitor? If so, what is the name of the card?

OK. But, again, can I buy a card that plugs into the mb that supports the legacy VGA monitor? If so, what is the card? Thanks.
