Component Monitoring App and Ideal Idle temps for 4.3GHz i5-4670k?

Hello,

Does anyone know of a reliable application that monitors your component's temperatures and usages. and your CPUs clock speed in the background but doesn't have a big impact on CPU usage? I used to use NZXT's new CAM monitoring software but every time I launch it, my CPU's clock speed shoots up to near maximum (from about 3.8 to 4.3GHz).

I use a Kraken X40 to cool my CPU. If it helps, I just overclocked my i5-4670k to 4.3GHz at a voltage of 1.23 volts and a uncore ratio of 3.5GHz, VRIN is 1.8volts. EIST is enabled but all other power saving features are off. At Idle my CPU is about 35-38 degrees according to CAM but that may be lower due to my clock speed shooting up.

I use a few Windows gadgets from addgadgets.com (their All CPU Meter, GPU Meter, and Network Meter) on my desktop, and they are pretty light on resources. To get temperatures on the CPU and GPU gadgets, a separate program has to be run. The CPU meter can use CoreTemp, and both can use PC Meter, created by the same creators of the gadgets.

The gadgets work fine on Windows Vista and 7. I'm not sure about how they run on 8 or 8.1, and Windows XP doesn't have gadget support, so they won't work there.

If you are looking for just a monitoring program, CoreTemp should work, along with Realtemp, and Everest.
