Wondering if this config looks good for PC Parts. Prices are approx.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5600X - $300

GPU: ASUS TUF Gaming 3080 -$1000 (was $700 so I’m sad)

MOBO: ASUS ROG Strix X570-E - $300

SSD: 2x Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB (1 for gaming, 1 for school) - $150 each


RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4-3600 CAS-18 (2x16GB) - $200

AIO: NZXT Kraken Z73 - $250

Case: NZXT H710i - $150

PSU: Corsair RMx 1000W - $200

Case Fans: AER RGB 2 (3 - 4 fans) - $30 each, I think (please tell me prices cause idk)

You should actually list a PCPartPicker link for your build in case some things can be refined. As it stands, the build looks fine. Overkill on the PSU but you're going to be set for a long while.

I'd swap out the Corsair ram for gskill Trident-Z or Neo's, they tend to get better results when streamlining the ram for better fclock and timing performance gains.

Psu is over the top, great psu, but there are better in that price range especially if you drop to the 750w/850w class. A Corsair HX Platinum 750w will do just fine.

You aren't alone. Most ppl are feeling the kick to their posterior regions when it comes to gpu prices.

Ok so, wondering if an H510 Elite will fit all of this, yes, I know it’s small, but wondering. If not, please recommend some tempered glass cases with space for a 360mm rad, preferably a NZXT or Corsair case.

You were better off with the Corsair RMx than the Asus ROG 1000. You are shopping by brand, like preference on Corsair or NZXT case and ignoring quality.

After some consideration, new updates have been made.

CPU: still Ryzen 5 5600X - $299 at Best Buy (should I opt for a 3700X?)

GPU: PNY XLR8 REVEL 3080 - $799 at Best Buy (or some 3070, being cost friendly, suggestions requested, is EVGA a quality graphics card brand?) oh and I might go for a 3070, as previously stated.

MOBO: still ASUS ROG Strix X570-E - $319 on Newegg

RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z Neo 32GB 3600 MHz CL16 - $229 on Amazon

Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB - $199 at BB and Amazon

PSU: still Corsair RMx 1000W - $204 at BB

Case: still NZXT H710i - $169 at BB

Cooler: Kraken Z73 or X73 - $279 and $179 respectively (what’s the main diff?)
