Yesterday my computer suddenly got a black screen while the fans where still making sounds. I turned it off but it didn't go on again when I tried. I looked up what i should do and one of the things I could do was a power drain. So I unplugged the battery, but now when i plug the battery in again there is a component that starts burning. The component that starts burning is PU401. It's a Lenovo L340-15IRH. Anyone knows what I can do to prevent it from burning and make my computer work again?

Is this the unit which is burning?

When "magic smoke" comes out of a mains power supply, throw it away. It's dead.

Take the laptop to a repair shop. They might ask you to buy a new power supply if they don't have a compatible unit.

If the power supply went up in smoke when you connected it to the laptop, then the laptop may be beyond economic repair. Replacement motherboards (when available) can cost more than the second hand value of the laptop.

There is a chance the laptop might be repairable, but this should only be attempted by an expert.
