Yes, the above would work really well and you would be able to max out any game 1080p 30+ fps that is out today until probably a couple of years from now. If you were going to have this a longer time and want it to be more future proof however, I would go with the i5 2500k as you can overclock it and get a couple more years out of it. However the i5 2400 is very well and very close performance wise to the i5 2400, the 2400 just can't overclock much. Here's the run down:
i5 2400 with a h67 motherboard, or the i5 2500k with an p67/z68 mobo. These two processors are insanely good and I recommend both, the 2500k will just last longer is the difference.
8 or 4 gigs of RAM.. It really is up to you, no game today uses more than 4 gigs, but it is best to be future proof.
DvD burner doesn't really matter
