Hey there, I was just wondering whether it is possible to upgrade an older iPhone with better components from newer models if they are compatible, of course. To be more specific I would like to upgrade my iPhone 5 with some parts from the iPhone SE as they are the same form factor, but I'm not too sure wheter it would be compatible. I do know how to replace parts, however, I would like to ask for some help from people who have more knowledge across the difference between the parts and any compatibility issue that I could come across. Well, I would rather invest $100 than $500 for the iPhone 7 or $1000 for the new iPhone X. So, I thought that if the iPhone 5 and iPhone SE have the same form factor it would be great to use the parts from iPhone SE which uses some of the parts from 6S.
First of all, I think that replacing the screen from iPhone SE could allow me to use touch ID if the screen is compatible but there might be some compatibility issues with that. Also the battery would be a good investment and possibly I would like to replace the camera but I don't know whether it is connected directly to the motherboard or how it could be replaced.
If you have any ideas or experience please do share it and also if you have any links to parts from ebay or amazon don't hesitate to share it. Many thanks.
