Hi all.

After my laptop died i'm looking at upgrading to a full gaming system and building it myself.

I currently have a tower (GameMax ATX Mid-Tower Knight Series GM-One) and just need internals.

My budget is approx £700-£800 and this will be my first build.

I currently am looking at the following components, would like thoughts, opinions and suggestions.

Worth noting my previous laptop had 12gb RAM, and an Nvidia 850M with a low end i7 processor.

AORUS Intel Z390 Ultra Motherboard.

Intel i5 8600k

Corsair HX850 PSU

Few other notes.

~Require a quiet PSU/fan - from my research Corsair offer very good ones.
~Potential for a CD drive, I often play games from mid 00's as well as some newer ones.
~Aware I may also need some RAM, don't see need for more than 16gb.
~Also aware I may have to buy windows again?
~Also unsure of what size HDD, considering 2gb with a smaller SSD.
~Graphics card - considering a 6gb Nvidia 1070, or would a 1050 be good? A big difference between the two?

Solution
I'd say get something like this. That Intel CPU and high end motherboard wastes too much of your limited budget. That PSU is also more than your budget needs.
