Components technical specifications?

Hi,

Is there any online database or feed that provides computer components with their technical specifications? My school project requires some of the specs, for example, motherboard - form factor, socket, chipset, # of sata, etc.

Somebody suggested to look at online store feeds but they do not contain tech specs (at the ones I saw).

newegg is usually pretty good. Otherwise, if you know the exact part, the best would be on the manufacturer's website in the manual

A site like Newegg will work. If you go to a page for a motherboard they have (any will work) and scroll down on the page a bit, you'll see a 'Specifications' tab. 99.9% of the motherboards should have a specs page. You can even go to a manufacturers website and get specs for a motherboard.

I should have been more clear. I'm in a need of an automatic solution, i.e. feed or something where I can point and read the specifications for motherboards and update my motherboard database. The solutions you guys posted are great but manual...

Sometimes we have to do our own work, we can't have machines do it for us.
