Compound Audio Driver issue: No audio or jumping to 100

I have an issue where if I unpause media content, the system volume jumps to 100 without it actually "being" 100. The solution to this problem is usually to uninstall the sound drivers and then restart to force them to reinstall. When I do this, it causes my headphone jack not to work at all. Then, if I "update drivers" from device manager OR install the latest drivers from the realtek site, the problem persists. I'm kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I just kept doing the same thing kind of over and over again, and it eventually fixed it.. these things can be a pain lol.
