Hi was wondering if I should worry about having some Antec formula 7 on outter area that stringed onto outter area of my lga 1150 z97 msi gaming 5 mobo.

Or should I take off the heatsink again and try to clean it.

Ughhh... So frustrated... Took me forever to get the sucker mounted....

Update: I took the heatsink off and cleared all the antec formula 7 off.

Connected everything installed xp and then updated to win7 64bit. No problems.

after installing msi drivers (gaming 5 z97) latest bios were already on the board. Installed norton, then nvidia drivers. Started getting black screen flashes accompanied by minimal grey static in screen.

Uninstalled gpu drivers and restarted. Still had the issue occur once and then installed newer drivers.

Still getting the black screen flash.

Cpu temps looked fine 33c and Mobo at 24c. Ran prime 95 for 10 mins. Passed. Gpu is I my part that's not new in this build. (750ti gtx)

Also the voltages are fine in the Bios.

Msi gaming 5 z97 mobo

I've checked pcie connection. It's firmly connected.

I'm assuming either the gpu or monitor is going bad.

Any ideas?
