Hello Gentlemen,

I have a folder which contains documents and software and it is of 6 GB.

I couldn't write it into a DVD since it is Large. So I right clicked on the folder and compressed it. It came up to 4 GB.

Now I wrote this compressed file into DVD. ( when I added this compressed file into DVD, I got a popup message "this folder contains a file larger than 2GB", so this should be open only windows XP...).

I pressed ok button and DVD created successfully. I want to check if the compressed file added into DVD successfully. So I inserted DVD and tried to open the file.

It is not opening up and giving an error message "Unexpected end of Archive".

Can someone please help me with this. I need to reinstall my system and I need to backup these files badly.

Thanks in Advance

1. *cough* wheres the love for the ladies?

2. It just didn't burn properly. Try splitting the docs and software up into 2 smaller, more manageable chunks and burn em onto 2 seperate DVD's.

sounds like the archive over extended the capacity of the disk or something went wrong with the compression or the burning. Not much you can do other then save what you can.
