I intend to buy a 1440p@144hz monitor to game on and i want to stream. But streaming in 1440p is way too demanding (i think) so ill prob aim for 720p@30 or 60 fps, at least at the start. Thing is, im scared itll look really bad cause of the compressing. So id like to hear from someone who maybe done this and can tell me how is it (ill use obs for it)

Solution
I game at 1440p and have streamed at both 720p and 900p, both look fine to me depending on other encoding settings. Record a few bits of gameplay and have a play with your bitrate and find what looks best to you and works for your hardware/upload speed.
