CompUSA is now offering $2 for used printer cartridges. I know they're
selling them back to Greentec, a recycling company, but does anyone know how
much of a profit they're making? Thanks in advance.

Articles usually say an empty cartridge is worth $2.50-$3.50. I take mine
to Office Depot/Staples/Office Max and exchange it for a ream of paper
(typically they accept HP and Lexmark; I don't know about Canon).

I've been going to Office Max with my empty cartridges for free paper as
well, but with CompUSA just across the street, getting $2 isn't a bad deal
either. Do they require a purchase to do this and is there a limit on how
many per certain period of time?

I believe the offer is only good when buying new cartridges there, I'm not
sure about the quantity limit.

A friend just had the misfortune to buy a digital camera from CompUSA -
what a pack of dickheads.

My suggestion stay away and find some other reputable dealer.
