So I have a Lenovo y510p. i7 proccessor, 16gb of ram, and windows 8. So my problem is that during the past two days I notice that the PC is slower than usual. When I boot It takes longer to load the OS and my settings so I don't know what is causing the problem. Kaspersky doesn't detect any threats and I have optimized my PC with Advanced system care pro. So I don't know what is wrong with my computer. I really doubt that it has to do with the Hardware since it's basically new. Any Ideas?

Get rid of Advanced system care pro asap, it's a trashy software. I had a buddy that was all proud that he got it and was complaining that his pc began to run slowly. I just laughed and ran Adwcleaner, which picked it up as a threat and removed...
it could be the software you have installed... I dont use Advanced system care pro... that is a BS I use TuneUp Utilities 2014... also Kaspersky sucks to me so I use Avast, and Spybot with MalwareBytes.... also you might want to defrag your computer.... also you could check to see if you have downloaded any updates that have some how found them selfs on your computer... Also you might want to check with Microsoft for their safety scanner... Do that first because I know have found stuff on my PC that I know I havent installed... it could also be your browser has downloaded a program without you knowing or its the NSA has bugged your computer which will slow down your PC too.....

I tried everything you said, it is not fragmented and I scanned my computer with two anti-virus and they didn't find anything however I used microsoft safety scanner and it did detect a malware but it wasn't able to remove it. It doesn't give me a location or anything, it found this VirTool:win32/obfuscator.xz.

I Installed Assassin's Creed IV but I believe the problem started a couple of days after. Should I uninstall it?

You seem to have wasted your money and wrecked your system by using a pro version of Advance System Care while there are many freeware that can optimize your PC exceptionally Well.. Uninstall the software and i would recommend you to use either Wise Care or Registry Recycler that are lightweight and reliable for keeping the system in fine order.

Firstly, I agree with what a lot of people on here are saying, programs like Kaspersky and Advance system care can slow your system down, as they are running a lot of processes behind the scenes and take a lot of resources to run, plus, with Windows 8, if you're not frequently a lot of questionable sites, the Windows Defender that is built into the OS is generally good enough to keep your system clean, so that will free up a bit of computing power for you. The other thing to check is that your hard drive still has plenty of space, because most computers will slow down if they become cluttered and full...

I uninstalled Advanced System Care and I still have the problem.

Thanks for the advice but I don't think that is the problem. When I boot the system the ram only goes up to 30% from maximum capacity, the CPU to 15%, while the HDD reading rate to 50%. In addition I have 700GB of free space from my HDD.

Thanks for the advice any other suggestions?

Get rid of Advanced system care pro asap, it's a trashy software. I had a buddy that was all proud that he got it and was complaining that his pc began to run slowly. I just laughed and ran Adwcleaner, which picked it up as a threat and removed it. All was well from then on. You can get Adwcleaner here, http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ and if that doesnt do the total fix, grab the trial of hitman here http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro/ Advanced system care pro tends to leave a lot of garbage behind even after uninstalling, these two things should solve it, or any other garbage that is on the system. If they dont solve anything you may be looking at another issue here. GL to you, hope it helps!

Also, you may wanna give Ccleaner a shot. So far, out of all the softwares ive seen that "fix" registry issues, this has been the one of the only ones i haven't yet seen a blue screen of death from so far out of all the PC's i have ever worked on. And one more thing, be sure you PC is only running ONE antivirus. If you run multiple they will basically attack each other for the most part, which is another thing that will cause slowdowns or even complete haults. If you've previously uninstalled an antivirus such as Norton or Mcaffee, or any of them really, go seek out the removal tool for the antivirus and run it if there is one available from saids antivirus site.

Adwcleaner detected that pokki was making my computer slower, so I deleted it and now it boots and works faster, so after all it wasn't Advanced system care.

Thanks everyone :)
