Computer Abruptly Turn Off

Just built a new computer yesterday and everything was going well til it abruptly turned off while playing sims3 right after the loading screen. I had to reset the actual switch on the PSU before I could turn the PC back on.

So I re-installed the game entirely and the same thing happened at the same point after loading.

No error messages under system event viewer. So I installed the new Dirt Rally game and ran it at max setting, and it was fine.

Then I re-installed the sims3, within any expansions and patches. It still did the same thing after loading at the same spot.

I also ran and passed memtest86, prime95, HDD diagnostics while monitoring HWmonitor, core temp, speedfan, and AMD OverDrive. Core temp never got over 50C and socket temp <60C. All drivers up to date.

Then I installed DragonAge inquisition and played it on full Ultra, and it is still fine. Any possible solutions?

Solution
Yes, may be very likely. Might check on the game and see if it has other software requirements, such as a specific version of DX required or something like that

Chipset, gpu, Lan, audio, usb drivers, and Win7 are all up to date. However, I didn't update BIOS unless it is deemed necessary.

I have BIOS version 2501, which is the 2nd to the new version 2601. The 2601 doesn't seem to address anything in particular that might be relevant to my case.

If it is a DRAM related issue, wouldn't memtest86 or the blend test on prime95 find some sort of error?

Seems to be no good. However, The sims 3 loading screen is the only time this has occurred. Based on my experience and other's testimonies on the Sims 3, I am incline to believe that the fault is of the game and not the computer.

Do you think that's likely?
