So lately I've been trying to play games but they just end up really laggy. When the games do start up I can here a 'cricket' sound coming from my computer. When this happens, I just restart my computer and then everything is fine.

Lately I have also noticed that occasionally my computer would freeze for 30 seconds and then fix itself and then freeze again.

Specs:
CPU: Intel i7 4770
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 660
Motherboard: ASUS Z87 PLUS
PSU: Coolermaster Thunder Series 700w
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8gb

Any answer to this would be greatly appreciated :)

All drivers are up-to-date and nothing has been overclocked. I have also noticed that my temps went from 30C to 50C on idle.
