Computer audiophile sound cards

I have a Peachtree Nova and Era D3 speakers and Sub 8. I run Windows 7 configured for bit perfect output and J river Media Center set up for same. I am happy with the sound but wonder if I can improve it further with an audiophile 2 channel sound card. Any ideas?

My mate has got Asus Xonar Essence STX and it's good SPU, he use it to record his music group

The Xonar Essense STX uses the Burr Brown 1792A DAC (127db SNR), which is the 2nd best DAC on the market, behind the vanilla 1792 (132db SNR). I don't think any of the DACs on any other available soundcard is greater than 120db, so it's 2 tiers above anything else available.
