Hello.

I have a bit of a problem which I have not yet solved. My computer is automatically resuming from standby mode for no apparent reason.

I have issued the following commands in CMD:

powercfg -devicequery wake_armed

NONE

and

powercfg -lastwake

Wake History Count - 1
Wake History [0]
Wake Source Count - 0

I have disabled all options, including Wireless and Ethernet option named something like "Magic packet" in the device manager, and so on. So there is practially zero devices that have the ability to launch it from standby mode. I even tried to disconnect all USB devices.

I have tried to remove certain pins from the motherboard (PowerLED +-), Reset switch pin, keeping only the "Power Switch" pin connected so I can turn off and turn on computer.

I have tried to disable some options in the BIOS like Wake on LAN, enabling and disabling S4 support.

I have checked the logs in Windows 8 and find this:

The system have resumed from standby mode. (Translated from Swedish languange to English language)

Power-Troubleshooter Event ID 1

Energysave mode time: ‎2013‎-‎04‎-‎20T19:04:37.879065800Z
Activation time: ‎2013‎-‎04‎-‎20T19:04:49.971186000Z

Activation Source: Unknown

Kernel-Power Event ID 131 (33)

Time for built-in S3-software. ResumeCount: 2, FullResume: 478, AverageResume: 478

Now I am completely lost. I do not know what else I could do. Does anyone have some tips?

My system:

Intel i3570k
Asus P8Z77 V-LX
8GB RAM
2TB HDD

Thanks in advance!

Yes. You are correct there are two magic packet options; I disabled/unchecked both options but the problem is still there.

Thanks for replying.
