Hi,

I just finished doing some cable management and I was able to put the back side panel on but it flexes about 0.5cm is that bad?

Thanks!

That's fine for steel. You should start worrying about it flexing too much when you can't get the side panel on because it's bulging too far out.

The only thing really to worry about is the cables underneath, rather than the actual panel. Make sure you don't have them pressed hard up against a sharp edge of the motherboard tray or anything.
My case is a Fractal design arc mini2 and yes it is made of steel. Should I be worried about it flexing? Also this is my first time building a PC so it is a learning experience!

For future info at what point should you be worried with it flexing, 1cm?

I would say about 1-2cm would be the worry zone. I wouldn't worry. Fractal Design is a good company that uses good parts.
