Computer: Black screen problems; Keyboard not working when black.

Hello, My computer has been running into problems. First off I should state that my computer has not been wiped yet, but, I'll delve into more of that once we get more into what I've noticed before the initial wipe. My computer was custom built, a couple of weeks ago my computer upon startup would go black for a period of time I could see the mouse so I didn't think it was that big of a deal, a couple days past, I turn my computer on and leave it on for an hour or so and nap. Waking up I stroll to my computer, my computer was sleeping I though so I tried waking it up, the screen was full of opened software that automatically opens on computer wake up, however, the screen around these windows was complete black. I turn my computer off and on again with that I get a message that my drives didn't have any drivers and many days past from that fixing the problem, now that problem is fixed however, once I get on my computer, I do something for a couple of minutes and then it goes black, I know for sure that it's nothing to do with screen saver or anything else like that, the other weird thing is that when my screen goes black my mouse and my keyboard are off, How do you know this? Upon pressing down the caps lock key it doesn't light up, the laser from the mouse isn't on. I personally think it's the motherboard, but I just want to make sure that's the problem before purchasing a motherboard. I'm currently running windows 10.

Hey it's me again. I did some cable management a while back and I think one of the power cables hooked up to the graphics card wasn't attached..... Yep, in my stupidity always make sure all your cables are connected. 😀
