Computer black screens on game start up

I've dealt with this issue for a while now, my computer crashes on startup on games. my gpu temp is never above 40c my setup is
Geforce GTX 970
MSI z97 pc mate
Devils canyon quad core i7
Corsair CX600w
two 8gb Hyperx Fury ram
can someone tell me why my computer crashes on game start up?
Most of the time I can still talk to my friends about type and do other things but I can't see anything. Some times If I havent been on my pc I can play games for a while like hours.

Did you try re-installing the latest graphics drivers from scratch?

Does it happen when you run a 3D app in Windowed mode? If so, does just the windowed app go black or the whole screen?

If there is a setting on your monitor check the refresh rate on it when the screen is black and see if you get any weird or 'Out of range' messages

I've tried getting the drivers from scratch 100 times even fully wiped my computer past windows once. It does it with every monitor i've tried ( 4 or more )

Check the Windowed mode and let us know what it's doing there. Also try another card or connection method (ie. DVI instead of DisplayPort) and report back.
