Question Computer booting to "Enter BIOS" screen, not to desktop

Windows 10 x64.
ASUS X99-PRO USB 3.1
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
Intel Core i7 6800k @ 3.4Ghz

For the last few weeks my computer has been booting to a screen asking me to enter BIOS.

This is what I see.

I have a workaround. I click F1 to enter BIOS and then F10 to exit, without making any changes. It then boots to my desktop.

But, I'd like to fix this and for it to resume booting normally.

Any help appreciated.

Replaced battery, but same problem.

Is there something else I need to do after replacing it?

Ok.

I turned off the computer and turned it on again - twice - and both times, it booted normally.

So, maybe the new battery just needed to engage a couple of times?

Anyway, sorted for now.

You need to save BIOS settings after changing battery.
