When I go to turn on my computer after being off for over an hour, it will boot and beep letting me know that it POST properly. My keyboard and mouse light up and stay on. The computer is on and functioning but no display, no BIOS display nothing.

I reboot it once and everything is perfect. This annoys me. I have played with many motherboard settings and even stayed to stock settings by clearing CMOS. All games run perfectly without any lag. No slowdowns or stutters while my computer is on for hours at a time.

i5 3570k stock speed
16GB Samsung DDR3 RAM 1600mhz stock speed
Gigabyte 7970 3GB Graphics card stock speed
Samsung Pro 840 Series 128GB SSD
NZXT Phantom full tower case
600W OCZ Partially modular psu
Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler

All of my computer's temp's are very cool

I just don't get why it decides to not display the first time it boots after sitting for a while.

If I were to reboot it right now, or even power it off for five minutes and power it back up, it would boot up and display perfectly.

only thing I can suggest is try an old video card in it, and see if you get the same effect.

If so, return to the original card and hook it up to a different monitor. It can't be wiring of a mobo issue, since it works fine the second time, so Its either the monitor, its cables, or the video card.

newfireorange I hope you still check this and I hope you came up with an answer because I have the same exact issue! Have you fixed it yet? If not let me know what you have tried and I can let you know and maybe we can troubleshoot this.
