Computer boots up but goes into power saving

I was fiddling around with the ram to compare it to one of the ones which I took from a broken pc. After I realised it didn't fit I put the ram back into the original slot but then now when I power on my computer my monitor goes into power saver mode but things like mouse and keyboard don't light up.but the fan and power button light works fine.

Try removing the ram, clean it and insert it back.
if its not working try removing the graphics card from it's slot and try putting it back.
If that doesn't work then try connecting the VGA from the monitor directly into the motherboard. Try different cable. if not finally try different monitor.

or try unplugging the pc from the wall then press on/off button on pc case a few times

then plug it back in and try turning it on
