Hi there guys,

So I have a problem with my computer. When I power on the computer from shutting it down, the bootup does not go past the bootup screen with my motherboard logo. I always have to press down the power button and then turn it back on and then it'll proceed to bootup successfully. I'm thinking it might be a hard drive issue because for some reason this computer build has been devouring away at hard drives. Literally, it has corrupted about 3 hard drives already, 1 Samsung 840 Pro SSD and 2 WD 1B HDD. (When I run a HDD or SMART check on the hard drives, it reports that it's in good condition, only 1 of the HDD has bad sectors),

The other thing that I think might be causing this is a bad motherboard? I have a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 motherboard and is it possible that a faulty motherboard can cause this? Either that or it might be a bad PSU. I really don't know. I have a 750W Rosewell Gold+ PSU, and all I'm running is an AMD FX-8350 + ASUS R9 280X, with 1 HDD+Optical Drive + 6 fans.

I'm pretty familiar with computers, and I am planning to buy a new case (Corsair 750D) and this problem is really bugging me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Are you sure that your components are not heating up? I suspect the heard drive is heating thats why its performance is decreasing. Run chkdsk and see if any errors are reported. Otherwise defragment and optimise the drive. I will suggest to backup the important data and reformat the whole hard drive and then install fresh copy of OS.
