computer build help

So this is my first gaming computer build and Im not sure what Im doing. I would like to know given the parts list below if i can play shooters like cod and bf4. Also I was wondering if I could use a Xbox one controller on that PC. Any suggestions would be awesome!

I'm not a gamer, so I can't tel you specifics, but that is an entry level gaming GPU
and it only needs a 400 watt power supply.

PS 4gig will do for most games, and the games that use more, I doubt you would see the difference.

8 gig is a total wast of money, for just gaming.
No game uses more than 6gig AFAIK

Now if you are doing video editing, cad cam, or even photo shop, you could use 16gig
Or if you are one of those people that never closes a program.
