Computer build - motherboard lights up, no boot in computer

Hey all,

Sorry to bother you guys but I’ve been up all night trying to fix it using guides from here and almost everywhere and getting no wins with it.

The Problem
Everything’s plugged in, unplugged and then plugged in again. I put the power cable/kettle plug into the power supply, turn the switch to on and the motherboard LEDs go to orange and the graphics card ones by where the connectors go in go white, and that is as far as it goes. The main power on button doesn’t do anything, the fans don’t move, nothing happens. I’ve moved the front panel cables around and no joy. It’s as if the front panel has no way of starting the computer up or is it the power supply not being enough for the system?

If anyone can help it would be massively appreciated as I am at a loss.

The problem is from the PSU. You should return the 500W Aerocool Quiet PSU, buy the very good brand PSU for your gtx1080. If you are in USA, get this one SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151096&ignorebbr=1

I thought it could be power supply. Just to check with yourself before I purchase one if I remove the graphics card I still have the same issue. Do you still think it’s the psu?

If you removed the gtx1080, because the Ryzen ( either cpu/MB) does not have the iGPU, your PC does not have any GPU, it will not boot at all. If you have other GPU may try it on.

I went out and got a more powerful psu, EVGA 750 Gold. Everything connected up and still the same unfortunately, anything else I can do?

If you installed the wireless adaptor, remove it, and try boot the PC again. Also try the single 8Gb RAM in other slot too.
