Computer build under $700

I am building a new computer, but I dont know which parts are worth putting the money into. I will use it mostly for gaming among other things. I also do not know which parts are compatable and I dont want to make a mistake. I would like the computer to be easily upgradable and I will need to know all parts I would need to purchase. Where can I get the best deals? Would one of the newegg diy supercombos be the best? But I noticed they only include some of the parts. You may suggest anything for me as long as its complete. Should I get one of the combos?, if so what parts would go along with that one? I forgot to mention that I need an operating system. Thanks

the ultimate way to build a Pc is pcpartpicker.com it lets you select each part, it finds the best price and even has reviews built in. Take a look at it. The general things you want in a gaming pc is a really good gpu. The more you sink into the gpu, the happier you'll be. Pcpartpicker stops you from selecting incompatible parts so no worries there.

As a quick reminder, the idea of starting somewhat cheaply then upgrading later is a poor idea, it costs you more in the longrun. We can make you a build for 700 dollars but it will be okayish. If you want a beastly rig, save up a little more until your in the 1000 dollar range for just parts. Going off a basically 500 dollar budget (considering the cost of a monitor is around 100, peripherals and the like taking up the other 100), you will not be happy with your build. If this is beyond your league, at least get it so the computer itself has a budget of purely 700 dollars.
