Computer build worked for a month, then no longer boots with no POST beeps

Hey there, I was hoping everyone could help me identify the problem with my computer build.

I built a computer, and it worked fine for a month. There were no problems or anything of the sort. Then suddenly, one day it simply would not turn off. Additionally, when I tried booting it on again, the computer did not boot or reach POST. When I attempt to boot it up in its current state, the CPU/GPU/chassis fans spin up, but nothing else happens. The only way to turn it off is with the PSU power switch. I'm not sure if this detail will help, but in the final few days before the computer gave up on life, I was getting a small amount of display corruption here and there.

Here are my specs:
ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard
AMD FX6300 CPU
Corsair CX600M PSU
Kingston 2x4GB RAM (don't remember the model but I know both sticks work)
AMD R9 270 GPU
Seagate 1TB Barracuda HDD
Crucial 64GB SSD

Here is the list of troubleshooting steps I've done so far (all have had no change in computer status):
-Reseat RAM
-Replace RAM with known, working RAM
-Boot up with no RAM in order to try to elicit a beep
-Swap out GPU with a known working GPU
-Boot up with no GPU in order to try to elicit a beep
-Replace the motherboard with a brand-new one of the same model (yeah that was fun...)
-Everything on this list

At this point I'm guessing the issue is in the PSU or CPU... which one should I try replacing? (I'm leaning towards the PSU...)

Hi, If there's a case speaker http://images17.newegg.com/is/image/newegg/12-201-032-TS?$S300W$ connected to the motherboard, try starting it with only CPU and CPU fan installed. If the CPU fan does spin and no beeps, then you'd know that it's a CPU issue (motherboard already ruled out).

@McNeal- Yeah, it's plugged in. The build originally worked for a month so I'm guessing the wiring is ok.

@alexoiu - I'm not sure where the mobo speaker is located but I've heard it make beeps before so I know it's there somewhere.

I replaced the PSU and there was no change. Anyhow, I'm taking it into the shop where I bought the parts and they're going to RMA the CPU/test all of the parts individually. The CPU is pretty much the only thing left to test at this point, but they don't do returns on new ones that I'd swap in so I'm letting the shop deal with it now.
