Computer buildout help

Looking for help with a computer buildout. I game a lot and and am going to school for graphics/game design. So going to be doing a lot of graphic intensive stuff. Parents were going to buy me the Alienware but didn't like them, and would prefer to build my own. My budget is going to be 3000-3500. Just looking for ideas on good builds in that price range

Any idea what graphic design software you will be using? Depending you will want to lean toward more. Ou power or more gpu power.

Well I know I will be using Maya Entertainment Creation Suite Standard 2015 and another piece of there software as I have free access to them through a friend.

Maybe look into the x99 platform. It's mor money than the current z97 chipset, but it gives you the flexibility of 6 core i7's or even eight. On the graphics side of things, you'll have to research the languages you will be using and buy a card or cards for the best acceleration. Both nvidia and amd have advantages in different areas as far as this is concerned. Also the rumers are that with windows 10 and direct X 12, you might be able to use both amd and nvidia cards at once, so that May come in handy.
