Computer builds for acquaintances.

So an acquaintance of mine has asked me to put together a PC for him. I have no problem doing that and he’s going to pay me to do it. What I want to know is, is there anything I should do legally? Like write a contract or something of that nature. Thank you for any tips and help!

You should take half payment now.

You can also make a contract and have it signed by a notary, but I think it's a little extreme. Then again business among "acquaintances" can go real bad, real fast.

I don't think a contract such as that is legal unless it is notarized but if it makes both of you feel better then sure it is not a bad idea.

Okay, thank you guys. I tend to over analyze things when i don't know enough about it.

No problem.. They make some static free gloves if you want to be really safe but I have never used them and all is well.
